Universities, deemed universities, autonomous institutions, colleges and other eligible higher education institutions may apply for BCTS Certification, subject to the prevailing eligibility and assessment requirements prescribed for the certification cycle.

Yes. Student responses are intended to be collected through confidential assessment mechanisms and analysed in aggregate. Individual student responses are not intended to be disclosed to institutions as personally identifiable feedback.

The required sample size may vary depending on the institution's student population, programme mix and applicable BCTS sampling standards. The survey sample size requires a minimum of 500 students or 10% of the overall student capacity. Institutions are expected to achieve the minimum response threshold prescribed for the respective certification cycle.

No. Payment of the assessment or participation fee does not guarantee certification. BCTS Certification is awarded only when an institution successfully meets the prescribed assessment, evidence, validation and qualification requirements.

An institution that does not meet the required certification benchmark may receive diagnostic insights identifying areas of strength and improvement, subject to the applicable assessment package. The institution may use these findings to strengthen its campus experience and participate again in a subsequent certification cycle.

BCTS Certification is generally intended to remain valid for the applicable annual certification cycle, subject to the terms and validity period stated on the certificate and certification mark. Institutions are expected to undergo periodic reassessment to retain certified status.
